Sheldrick Outraged By Ivory Deal
Dr Dame Daphne Sheldrick, of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust has slammed the decision by CITES to sell a huge stockpile of ivory to China.
Sheldrick observes that the deal will encourage poaching and the illegal trade in ivory, a view supported by conservationists worldwide.
In the time being, the Sheldrick Elephant orphanage in Nairobi has been hit hard by the drop in tourists last year and is hoping for extra donations.

The Sheldrick Trust does some excellent work, and i would very much encourage anyone to make time to go to see the orphanage in Nairobi.
